LAMM Obtains EU Ecolabel Certification

The E4000 study bench is the first product of its kind in Europe to receive the prestigious European ecological quality mark.

In its constant commitment to creating timeless furnishing solutions, LAMM combines design excellence with a deep attention to sustainability. It is with great satisfaction that the company announces a new, significant milestone that reinforces this vision: the E4000 study bench is now officially certified with the EU Ecolabel.

This achievement places LAMM among the first four companies in the furniture sector in Italy to obtain this certification and makes the E4000 bench the first study bench in Europe to receive this prestigious recognition.

The EU Ecolabel is a mark of ecological quality assigned to products that guarantee high performance with a reduced environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle. The certification, verified by an independent third party, attests to the quality of a product that is synonymous with durability, reusability, and recyclability, resulting from a design focused on reducing packaging and using recycled materials.

The EU Ecolabel adds to the recent success of the Éco-impact assessment, consolidating LAMM’s leadership in the sector and reaffirming the company’s commitment to a circular economy and a more responsible future.

This result positions LAMM as a benchmark in the collective seating furniture sector and reflects the company’s proactive vision, in line with the demands of a market and a community increasingly attentive to design that is also synonymous with sustainability.

The E4000 study benches arrive in Lille (France) on JUNIA’s Engineering Higher Education Campus

LAMM supplies furniture to the new centre where students and researchers are trained to address global challenges

JUNIA reorganises its spaces. The French engineering school prepares students to tackle major global issues: feeding the world’s population while reducing the impact on the planet, advancing digital transformation, and accelerating the energy transition. To achieve this, JUNIA has launched three major construction projects in the heart of Lille.

The renovation of two imposing historical monuments and the construction of a new building open to the city form a new state-of-the-art campus dedicated to education, research and business services. Located in Lille’s lively city centre – within the historic student district of the “Catholique” University – the new centre benefits from a dynamic and stimulating environment.

Conceived as a new landmark, the building includes 21 classrooms, a large auditorium, nine research laboratories, four spaces dedicated to pedagogical projects, a large outdoor terrace, and various areas for individual work, group collaboration, relaxation, and social interaction. The structure spans over 5,000 square metres across six levels.

For the large auditorium, LAMM supplied its E4000 study benches, designed by Lucci and Orlandini. This integrated system of seating and desks, arranged in straight rows on stepped tiers, was chosen in the version featuring a fixed writing surface, 30 cm deep and finished in silver laminate, matching the panels of the first rows. The structures are also painted in silver. The seats and backrests, upholstered in fabric, feature enhanced padding for improved comfort of the workstations, electrified and equipped with power sockets.

The E4000 study desks and F50 armchairs: allies of cutting-edge education at the new ESCP Business School campus in Turin

Supply and installation for the first business school in the world, which chose Turin as the location of its italian campus

Reconfigurable classrooms and environments designed for higher education, conceived to promote state-of-the-art teaching where technology and AI enhance learning. This is how the new ESCP Business School campus in Turin presents itself, with campuses also in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris and Warsaw. The international school of leadership, known for its innovative approach and global outlook, has settled in a stylish 19th-century building in the heart of the city.

History meets modernity in a striking architectural addition: a metallic, undulating structure extending into the courtyard of the building. This refined project was designed by the Italo-Belgian studio TRA_Toussaint Robiglio Architects, with interiors shaped by a multidisciplinary collaboration involving G*Aa Architetti and Subhash Mukerjee Studio with Conrotto Progetti.

The addition houses large semicircular classrooms and a 300-seat auditorium, designed to be flexible and quickly reconfigurable into two classrooms of 150 seats each. It is in such innovative spaces that the F50 armchairs and E4000 study desks demonstrate their full potential. For the auditorium, the armchairs—featuring a silver-coloured frame and grey faux-leather upholstery—were equipped with tip-up, fold-away writing tables, with anti-panic movement, concealed within the side panel and electrified with easily accessible sockets on the front of the side.

The innovative semicircular classrooms, designed to foster collaborative learning, owe their functionality to E4000 study desks. The system, in its version with fixed top, was supplied with first-row panels, and seats and backrests in HPL laminate (oak finish by Abet Laminati). Once again, the study desk proved to be adaptable to any space and easy to install thanks to its modular flexibility. In the semicircular classrooms, the system was arranged on steps following a very tight curve, which was extremely difficult to accommodate. The desks are equipped with electrical sockets and seats with automatic cushioned return.
