It is one of the oldest museums in France, listed as a historical monument and home to a rich collection of archaeology, sculpture, objets d'art, and paintings. The Musée de Picardie in Amiens, France, welcomes visitors to its renovated premises following the restoration and expansion carried out by the architectural firms Jennifer Didelon, Architecture et patrimoine, and Frenak + Jullien architectes, after winning a design competition. A cutting-edge project that required meticulous study and recovery of the decorative elements, and significant conservation work on the roofs, stained glass windows, floors, and woodwork. The services were then implemented thanks to the new wing, which dialogues with the Palace. Here, in the auditorium, the C100 armchairs by Baldanzi & Novelli take centre stage. The seating, with its clean design, is installed in straight rows (mostly on a sloped floor) with a 52 cm centre-to-centre spacing. The chosen version features a low backrest, floor level side panels, and graphite-painted metal structures.
